Slaughter Close to Normal Levels

MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK

LEAN HOGS

Hog slaughter is close to normal levels. There are still a couple of days when temperatures will be near or below zero and snow will continue to make driving hard in the upper Midwest.  But next week will see normal temperatures.  Pork prices Thursday morning during trading were higher with hams the biggest gainer. Hams still remain super cheap averaging $76.99.
