Tim Smith
Tim Smith was raised in Decatur, Illinois, where he was surrounded by agriculture from a young age. He attended Millikin University in Decatur and, upon graduation, moved to Chicago, Illinois, to begin his career in the futures industry with ADM Investor Services. Starting as an Associate in the Marketing and Sales department, Tim's role evolved over the years, leading to greater responsibilities as the Assistant Director of Operations for Archer Financial Services (AFS).
In April 2011, Tim shifted his focus within the industry, becoming a partner in the AFS Ag Hedge Team, which is dedicated to providing top-notch agricultural hedge services to producers, merchandisers, and end-users. He and his team specialize in providing personalized attention to assist customers in meeting their hedging needs, essential for their success. Tim is a daily contributor to WITY Ag Radio, where he shares valuable market insights with listeners. His passion for the industry is reflected in his dedication to client success. Tim also manages the AFS Oakland, Illinois branch.
Residing in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife Megan and son Benjamin, Tim enjoys golfing in his free time.
