Scott Harms

Scott Harms was raised on a grain and livestock farm in Forest City, IL where they have a pure-bred Polled Hereford operation. He attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics in 1989. Upon graduation, Scott moved to Chicago where he began working for Merrill Lynch Futures in their Agricultural Hedging Services area. In 2000, Scott became a partner in the Agricultural Hedging Services Department at Prudential Securities.

In 2008, Scott moved to Archer Financial Services where he is a partner in the AFS Ag Hedge Team that focuses on assisting producers, merchandisers and end users manage their risk using futures and options. He and his team specialize on an individual attention to help customers to meet their hedging needs that are vital to their success.

Scott can be heard regularly on WITY Radio out of Danville, IL and has also been a frequent contributor to Ag PhD Radio on SiriusXM Rural Radio Channel 147 as well as WILL Ag Radio. Scott also spends time managing the AFS branch location in Oakland, Illinois. Scott is an avid fan of the University of Illinois sports as well as the Chicago Cubs and enjoys getting out on the golf course in his free time. Scott currently resides in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood.
