Livestock Morning Outlook
This week for the first time in a long time, cash cattle prices have inverted between Midwest and South/Southwest cattle with southern cattle higher priced than northern cattle. Until northern cattle see a drop in weights, demand could stay inverted.
Packers are moving more hogs through plants. Packers want to kill hogs with profit margins near $60/head and they have the hogs to kill. Hogs are available with weights this week averaging 212 to 214 pounds.
